Billboard

The purpose of this project was to create a Billboard about any important issue happening in the world. I chose the idea of the amount of trash that ends up in the ocean from human behavior which hurts the environment. 

Process Work

For my process, I started by sketching out an idea for my billboard. Then, I created a concept map and mood board to help me with ideas for what I wanted my Billboard to look like. 

Turtles are the prominent animal that I think of when I think about the ocean, so I thought to put trash on its shell. I gathered images that I wanted to use and used Photoshop to create a scene of a turtle with trash on its shell and trash within the ocean to emphasize the idea. I used a serif font, dark colors, and smoke in the background to give off the feeling to viewers that it is important to treasure the environment, instead of hurting it.
